Department of Animal Control Services
The Wayne County Animal Control Services Department is responsible for protecting public safety and ensuring the humane treatment of animals. Officers are responsible for enforcing state and county laws as they pertain to animals and are responsible for investigating all animal-related complaints within Wayne County. Some examples of daily investigations conducted by the Animal Control Department include but are not limited to animal bite reports and investigations of cruelty to animals.
