Children's Environmental Health Programs

The Environmental Health Department's child care programs include sanitation inspections for child care centers, lead poisoning prevention program, and a healthy home initiative for children's health.
  1. Child Care Sanitation Inspections

    The Child Care Sanitation Program monitors and oversees sanitation requirements for licensed child care centers.

  2. Healthy Homes Initiative

    Healthy Homes is a nationwide program that examines all components inside and outside the home, and/or environmental issues that may specifically affect children where they reside.

  3. Lead Poisoning Prevention Program

    The lead poisoning prevention program is a state sponsored program that has a primary purpose of protecting children under the age of six from being exposed to lead- based paint and other lead –bearing hazards.
