  1. Child Day Care

    Subsidized childcare services are provided to families that express a need for childcare and who have been determined eligible for services.

  2. Food & Nutrition Services

    Food and Nutrition Services provides monthly benefits that help low-income households buy the food they need for good health.

  3. Medicaid

    Adult Medicaid is for eligible individuals who are aged, blind or disabled.

  4. Program Integrity Unit

    The purpose of the Program Integrity Unit is to investigate suspected fraud and/or over payment referrals in all programs administered by the Wayne County Department of Social Services and to promote integrity in the programs.

  5. Work First Family Assistance & Employment Program

    The Work First Program was developed on the premise that everyone has the responsibility to their family and the community to work and to provide for their children. The program reduces welfare dependency and provides services to promote self-sufficiency.
