Field Borders

  • Reduce erosion from wind and water
  • Soil and water quality protection
  • Management of harmful insect populations
  • Provide wildlife food and coverage
Establish a field border to adapt to species of permanent grass, legumes, & shrubs. Species must be compatible with a planned purpose.

Minimum field border widths are 10’ and field borders will be established around the field edges to meet the resource needs & producer objectives.
