The Buildings & Grounds Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of 45 County buildings valued at over $44,000,000.00.  These include the Courthouse/Jail Complex, County Administration Building, County Office Building, Will R. Sullivan Building, Wayne Center Complex, Borden Building, Federal Building and numerous others.

The maintenance staff provides support in many areas including building renovations, grounds maintenance, painting, roof repairs, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, HVAC systems, energy management, and security systems. Any departmental moves within the County are coordinated through the Buildings & Grounds office. We also maintain both the County surplus and storage warehouses.

Our housekeeping staff is dedicated to keeping our facilities clean and pleasant.  They are also responsible for picking up and delivering the County’s mail to the post office daily. Our staff performs many miscellaneous tasks for County departments as needed.
