Wayne County Cooperative Extension is associated with the College of Agriculture and life Sciences at N.C. State University. We are a partnership that began more than 85 years ago when county, state and federal governments agreed that, by joining together, they could ensure that all citizens had access to the wealth of knowledge being generated at public universities.
The North Carolina Cooperative Extension is an educational partnership helping people put research-based knowledge to work for economic prosperity, environmental stewardship and an improved quality of life.
Cooperative Extension major programs focus on four major areas: 1) Sustaining agriculture and forestry, 2) Protecting the environment, 3) Developing strong, healthy and safe families, and 4) Developing responsible youth.
