Office of Public Health Preparedness Training/Class Request Form

The Wayne County Office of Public Health Preparedness is willing to offer classes as requested.

Please read the descriptions of the classes below. Then fill out the form and select the class you wish to take. Then click the button when done. We will be in contact with you shortly to schedule the class.

Classes offered:

General Preparedness: This presentation covers general health related preparedness. Topics cover under this presentation include making a disaster kit, what threats could occur, how to stay informed, etc. This presentation generally last between 20-30 minutes.

Preparedness Overview: This training explains what preparedness is and how it is accomplished. It also includes basic information about Wayne County Health Department preparedness. This presentation lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Pandemic Influenza: This presentation is meant to clear up confusion of what seasonal influenza, pandemic influenza, and avian influenza are. It includes definitions, how to prepare in general terms, and where to go to learn how to prepare. This presentation generally last between 20-30 minutes.

Introduction to Public Health Preparedness: This training is more in depth. It tells about what Wayne County Health Department is doing to prepare, what threats are valid, explanation of various agencies, and other similar topics. This training includes a small in class exercise. This training takes approximately 2 hours.
