Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) The Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program is a federally funded program that provides screening services to underserved, uninsured women in Wayne County.
Child Health
Child Service Coordination Program Provides in home services to families with children from birth through 5 years of age. Services include developmental screening, parental education and guidance, family counseling, and assistance with housing, food provisions, child care, medical care, and immunizations
Communicable Disease Control Provides general communicable disease control, access to Child Care/Nurse Consultants and information on the Tuberculosis Outreach.
Comprehensive Health Services Team (CHST) The Comprehensive Health Service Team works with child care providers and parents that have children ages 0-5 years of age. The team focuses on preventive health education, consultation, health assessments, health screenings (hearing, vision, dental, and development) and provides referral and follow up for appropriate services. This is a Smart Start funded program.

Environmental Health
Family Planning Provides comprehensive services to persons of reproductive age including pregnancy testing, birth control, physical exams, health and nutritional counseling.
Health Education/Health Promotion
Immunization Clinic Provides required and recommended immunizations, vaccines and TB screening.
Laboratory
Maternity Care Coordination (Baby Love) Provides clinical and in-home services for eligible (Medicaid) pregnant women to promote a healthy birth outcome.
Maternity The maternity program provides prenatal care to eligible women of Wayne county without regard to race, color, national origin or handicap condition.
Pharmacy The Pharmacy Department provides supportive pharmaceutical services to all programs offered by the Wayne County Health Department.
Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic Provides services for testing, treatment, counseling, education, and referral follow-ups.
Sickle Cell Screening As part of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Eastern North Carolina Chapter, Wayne County Health Department offers testing to all citizens of Wayne County. The Health Department also offers family counseling on a monthly basis to those with Sickle Cell trait.
Tuberculosis (TB) Control Provides services including screening, testing, treatment, counseling, education and surveillance.
WIC Program (Women's/Infants/Children) Provides supplemental food and nutrition education for qualified women with infants and children.
WiseWoman Program The WiseWoman Project is a sister program to BCCCP. It provides screening services for weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes. Each participant receives follow up education for developing a more heart healthy lifestyle.
