To be eligible for the State Veterans Nursing Home, you must have:
- Served in the armed forces for other than training and discharged under honorable conditions
- Resided in the State of North Carolina 24 months prior to the date of application
- Must also be referred by a licensed physician and be in need of skilled or intermediate nursing care
The State VA Nursing Home takes admissions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The professional staff and volunteers are committed to providing quality, comprehensive short-term or long-term care. We are approved by Medicare, Medicaid,Private Pay and Commercial Insurance.

Special Needs:
The VA Nursing Home is designed to welcome patients with Alzheimer's disease and severe dementia. The 50-bed Special Care Unit has its own dedicated staff, dining and living areas, and enclosed courtyard.
