4th Fighter Wing Commander Receives Key To The County

On November 21, 2006 the Board of Commissioners welcomed Seymour Johnson Air Force Base 4th Wing Commander Col. Steven Kwast and his staff to the meeting of the Board of Commissioners.  Staff personnel included:

Lt. Col. Steven Gregorcyk, Deputy 4th Mission Support Group
Lt. Col. Patrick Doherty, 334th Fighter Squadron Commander
Lt. Col. James Jinnette, 335th Fighter Squadron Commander
Lt. Col. Carol Fisiher, Aeromedical/Dental Squad Commander
Lt. Col. Chris Urkzik, Component Maintenance Squad Commander
Major Christopher Rogers, Contracting Squad Commander
Stewart Cox, Deputy, 4th Mission Support Group

Chairman Atlas Price, Jr. presented Col. Kwast with a key to the county.  Col. Steven Kwast thanked the Board of Commissioners for its generosity and great relationship between Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and the community.  The meeting allowed base officials and the Board of Commissioners to get to know each other better.

The Board of Commissioners and officials from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base visited the Planning Department, GIS and Emergency Services and received a brief overview of the services provided to Wayne County citizens by these departments.
