The Wayne County Health Department and Wayne County Office of Emergency Services continue to coordinate with federal and state agencies to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.
NC 2-1-1 is available 24/7 to answer COVID-19 questions. Simply call 211 or 888-892-1162. Sign up to receive text updates on COVID-19 in North Carolina by texting COVIDNC to 898211.
Wayne County has established a Public Information Hotline to answer questions about response in Wayne County. This hotline can be reached Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm and weekends from 10am-2pm. Simply call 919-705-1800 to be connected.
For people who think they might have COVID-19 and have mild symptoms, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now recommends they stay home and call their doctor if you need medical care. Learn more in this NCDHHS fact sheet in English and Spanish.
If you do not have a primary care doctor, visit https://www.unchealthcare.org/ and click the purple "Coronavirus Help" tab at the bottom.
If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or call ahead then go to the Emergency Department.
The State of North Carolina is under a Stay at Home Order in effect until Friday, May 8, 2020.
