Testing

Testing data reflects all testing data reported to NCDHHS by the NC State Labratory of Public Health, reporting hospitals, and commercial labs. This data is provided to the Wayne County Health Department weekly and will be updated in our testing dashboard below. We have also included more specific data from our public testing sites within this dashboard. Use the arrow buttons at the bottom of the dashboard to view the other pages of data. Need to find testing? Call your health care provider or click here for a list of public testing sites.

The CDC recommends you stay home and separate yourself from other people in the home as much as possible if:

  • You are sick with COVID-19

  • You believe you might have it

  • You think you might have COVID-19 and have mild symptoms.

Before going to a health care provider, clinic, hospital or emergency room, call ahead to describe your symptoms and how you might have been exposed to the virus.

If you do not have a primary care doctor, visit https://www.unchealthcare.org/ and click the purple "Coronavirus Help" tab at the bottom.

If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or call ahead then go to the Emergency Department.
