Wayne County, NC – Wayne County congratulates Alan Lumpkin for receiving the William A. Campbell award from the North Carolina Tax Collectors Association. Mr. Lumpkin joined Wayne County in 1991 and is currently the County’s Tax Administrator.
This award is given to any member of the association based on their exemplary efforts and dedication to the area of tax collections. The award was established in 1997 in honor of William A. Campbell of the Institute of Government for his years of dedicated service to the North Carolina Tax Collectors Association by meeting educational needs and providing guidance through the maze of taxation and bankruptcy law. This award honors those recipients who have given of their time and efforts for the overall betterment of the Tax Collectors of the State of North Carolina.
County Manager Craig Honeycutt said, “We want to congratulate Alan on receiving this outstanding award. We are fortunate to have an employee with such excellence in character and professionalism here at home.”
Mr. Lumpkin added, “I was shocked and very humbled to receive this award. Our job in the Tax Department is often thankless, and it is an honor to be recognized by my peers.”
