Wayne County, NC – As our community continues to feel the increased impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Wayne County Department of Social Services’ highest priority continues to be the health and well-being of our employees and the citizens we serve in Wayne County.
Wayne County Department of Social Services is encouraging customers to apply for benefits online at ePass.nc.gov. Staff will also be present upon entry to Wayne County DSS to provide paper applications for Adult Medicaid, Family and Children’s Medicaid, Food and Nutrition, and Work First programs. Individuals may complete the paper applications and drop the application off in the secured Social Services Mail Box, located in the parking lot.

The face to face interviews for Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) or Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) applications are waived and we are allowing a telephone interview for applications. To apply, you may call 919-731-1577.
