Wayne County, NC – The Wayne County Board of Commissioners have called a Special Meeting for tomorrow, March 26, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. to offer a resolution of support for businesses during this time; to discuss a remote meeting policy; to consider an ordinance on emergencies; and to consider declaring a State of Emergency. This meeting is not to consider any stay-at-home or shelter-in-place orders for Wayne County by the Wayne County Board of Commissioners.
In light of standing Executive Orders by Governor Roy Cooper, no public attendance will be permitted in the Board of Commissioners’ Special Meeting. This meeting will be broadcast in the Jury Pool room on the 3rd floor of the Wayne County Courthouse Annex, 224 E. Walnut Street. We also urge residents to stream the meeting on the Wayne County Government channel on Youtube.
