Recycling Eyeglasses
Old eyeglasses may be left with attendants at all 13 Convenience Centers located throughout the county or at the Landfill Office. Wayne County donates old eyeglasses to the Lions Club.
The Lions Club has eyeglasses cleaned, repaired and classified by prescription. The eyeglasses are then distributed to those in need and other organizations hosting optical missions in developing countries.
