FMLA provides a maximum of 12 weeks of unpaid, job protected leave for qualifying employees for specific family and medical reasons. The law also provides a maximum of 26 weeks of unpaid, job protected leave for eligible employees to care for a covered military service member with a serious injury or illness received in the line of duty. *Please contact the HR office to make sure that you qualify. It is the employee's responsibility to communicate the need for foreseeable FMLA leave at least 30 days prior to the need for leave.
